Why Water China 2003?
Extensive
Support from the government departments:
Water China has for years received extensive support
from our sponsors, China's related ministries that are in charge of, among many
activities, environmental protection (SEPA), city construction (MC) and international
cooperation on science and technology (MOST), who have also helped bring quality
visitors to the show. Focusing exclusively
on Water & Wastewater: Water
China, unlike other shows in China that usually involve other sectors of environment,
focuses on Water and Wastewater exclusively, bringing real professionals to the
exhibitors. A well-established international
event: Water
China, held in the Chinese capital annually since 1998, has grown to be the most
influential trade show on water and wastewater. It is well known not only in China,
but also in many other parts of the world. Over 300 exhibitors, including such
major players as Danfoss, Dow Chemical, Ebara, Grundfos, Honeywell, Hydranautics,
ITT Flygt, Osmonics, Siemens, Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux and Vivendi Water (more
Previous
Exhibitors), have represented
over 10 countries and regions. Attendees have come from 25 of China's 31 provinces,
HKSAR and Taiwan, plus more than 10 countries. Huge
market potential: The
world's biggest developing country who imposes increasing importance on water
and wastewater, China has huge market potentials. Take sewage treatment for instance.
About 3.7 billion tons of sewage is produced in cities across the country each
day. Even if 50 per cent of wastewater were treated, then 10,000 sewage treatment
plants would be needed, representing a market value of US$48.4 billion.
An aggressive year-round marketing campaign:
Show listings, editorial coverage, and advertisements
in core market trade magazines, websites and newspapers, plus direct mails and
emails will make Water China 2003 known to a minimum of 1,000,000 readers worldwide.
More
powerful team of organizers: The team is having new members,
China Society of Environmental Sciences, China Water Supply Association, China
Water Industry Net and China Water Web, who are specialists in the water and wastewater
industry and will contribute to making Water China 2003 a greater success.
