China
National Agricultural Exhibition Center (NAEC)
One of
the four largest exhibition centers in Beijing, China National Agricultural
Exhibition Center (NAEC) was built in 1959 and was awarded one of
the capital's 10 best architectures for that decade. Ideally located
on the central part of the eastern section of the 3rd Ring Way, one
of Beijing's busiest traffic streams, NAEC is only 20-minute drive
from the international airport and 15-minute drive from the railway
station.
Amidst
the embassy and central business districts, NAEC is in the easy
walking distance from tens of magnificent office buildings, shopping
centers, night clubs and star-rated hotels. The hotels include the
5-star Great Wall Sheraton
Hotel, Kunlun Hotel
and Great
Dragon Hotel (newly upgraded), and 4-star Landmark
Towers Hotel.
NAEC is built on a land of 52 hectares dotted with trees, flowers
and a lake in the backyard, making it a garden exhibition center.
Its l0 exhibition halls of traditional Chinese architecture style
and 7 light-duty showrooms add up to a total floor space of 30,000
square meters. The big square in front of the main hall serves well
for the purposes of holding opening ceremonies and parking.
