Show Review & Exhibitors to Appliance World Expo Beijing 2004 The biannual Appliance World Expo Beijing, organized by the China Household Electrical Appliances Association (CHEAA), has grown to be China's and even Asia's largest trade fair for electrical appliances, following its debut in 1992. The last event, Appliance World Expo Beijing 2004, attracted more than 200 manufacturers, suppliers and related organizations from around the world, including China's top electrical appliance manufacturers of Haier, Kelon, Hualing, Little Swan and Hisense. About 40% of the exhibitors were well-known international suppliers or Sino-foreign joint ventures, just to name a few, ACC, Electrolux and Siemens from Europe, Whirlpool of USA and Panasonic, Hitachi and Sharp of Japan. The 35,000 visitors came not only from across China, but from Germany, Italy, the Japan, Philippines, South Korea, UK, USA and several other countries as well. Noteworthy was the fact that over 50% of the total number of visitors, or 17,555, were trade visitors: there were mainly senior executives representing more than 4,000 OEM appliance purchasers, distributors and chain stores from overseas, appliance wholesalers, retailers and shops from across China, and purchasing departments from China's real estate companies and hotels.
